Ton Hermes

Ton served in the Royal Dutch Navy.  First he went with his family for a tour of duty of 3 years to Curaçao in the Netherlands Antilles. Eleven years later he went with his family to WashingtonD.C. in the USA. He was stationed at the Royal Dutch Embassy.
He made several trips with the Royal Dutch Navy to North and South America, the Middle East, the Caribbean and other oceans between those two stages

Ton had the opportunity to retire from the Royal Dutch Navy on early age. This was a good change to pick up an old hobby, namely watercolors. This medium makes it possible for him to show the many impression he was getting when he was traveling allover the world.
